If you’re a HCI professional and not a member of BostonCHI, you’re missing out. We’re the local chapter of ACM SIGCHI and we were the first local chapter. Our meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month. We’ve got a great lineup of speakers this year. So far, we’ve got:

  • Ben Shneiderman in November
  • Steve Krug in December
  • David Rose in February
  • Candy Sidner in April

Plus, we’ll be having our annual Professional Development Seminar some time in March.

Other benefits include a job postings mailing list and valuable networking before and after the meetings.

Up to now, meetings have been at Sun in Burlington, but due to the acquisition by Oracle, it looks like they won’t be providing us with space any more. If you work at a company that could help us out with meeting space (we typically have attendance of about 30 people), please let us know by emailing

Membership is cheap, at only $15 a year. What have you got to lose?
