Tech Support

If you're having problems with the sound, especially the music in Dune 1, try this program, VDMSound. It's a sound card emulator / API for older, DOS-based games. I haven't tried it with Dune 1, but it has worked for a lot of old Lucasarts adventure games.

• Download patch. It's a self-extracting archive. Download it, put it into your Dune 2 directory, run it, and you're all set! I got this patch from the Westwood Games Web site. It upgrades the game from verson 1.01 to 1.07 and fixes Starport delivery errors. One problem with this upgrade though is that games saved under the old version will not work with the upgraded version. Warning!There have been reports that this patch does not work correctly and will break your Dune 2 game. Please backup your D2 directory before using.

This is an add on for Dune 2 which makes it a lot harder. Super Dune II is Dune II but now you can play as three different teams: The Mercenary's, Fremen, and Sarduakar. It is actually really good but very tough as well.
